4 Easy Hacks for Entrepreneurs 🚀

How to work faster on a laptop, tricks to get an email response, roles at Nike, venture-backed startups, a book giveaway, and more!

What's up, Next Gen Fam!

Successful people tend to be resourceful. They use clever tricks to get what they want at work and life. This week, we're covering a few creative hacks that can increase your output.

Let's dive in!

TIPS

Increase your touchpad tracking speed.

Most laptops are preset with a slower-than-necessary tracking speed. To work faster, serial entrepreneur Noah Kagan suggests increasing the speed to the highest setting. This way, you'll never need to lift your finger from the touchpad. This makes you more efficient and can save plenty of time in the long run!

Don't bring a charger to the coffee shop.

Deadlines help us get things done. Artificial deadlines can work (think: blocking time on your calendar). But real deadlines, like running out of laptop power, are what truly move the needle. Next time you head out to work, leave your charger behind. This will force you to work productively and make the most of your time.

Put your bio in the email signature.

When cold emailing, include your bio in the signature. This gives context and increases your odds of a response. Billionaire entrepreneur Sarah Blakely recommends adding your personal website URL, accomplishments (like TEDx Speaker), or even basic background (such as Neuroscience Major at NYU) to improve your chances.

A great book, read at the right time, can change your life. You might already get referrals from friends or colleagues. But which books do successful people recommend? The answer: The Best Books of All-Time. This is a ranking of books from the very best in the world. Read off this list to think like them.
