What's up, Next Gen Fam!

Did you know that if the entire history of the Earth was compressed into a 24-hour day, humans wouldn’t show up until a minute to midnight

In other words, our lives are quite short. So, it's important to enjoy our time as much as possible. This week, we're covering uncommon hacks to increase well-being and find success.

Let's dive in!

TIPS

#1: Ask your future self.

Jeff Bezos famously used the regret-minimization framework to determine whether he should start Amazon. The process is simple: During your next reflection session, ask yourself, "In X number of years, would I regret not doing this?" Oftentimes, the answer lies within your own mind. That's because your future self always has your best interest at heart.

#2: Study your calendar.

At the end of your work day, study your calendar for tomorrow. Review all your meetings, assignments, and appointments to fully prepare. Visualize your day and walk through your mindset for each commitment. Make sure you feel good about what a "win" looks like for all of them. Then, you'll wake up the next day feeling confident and ready to go.

#3: Meditate.

Meditation has a long list of benefits. This finding is particularly striking: In a study of top performers across various industries – from athletics to entrepreneurship – the #1 most recurring habit was meditation. If you're giving meditation a go, start easy. Begin with three breathes a day and slowly work your way up. Expect the results to be delayed too!

#4: Find your outlet.

Our body and mind works like a pressure cooker. Pressure can push us to do incredible things. But if we never release that pressure, we might overdo it. So, find an outlet for your stress. This could be journaling, hitting the gym, or talking to a friend or therapist. Don't keep stress boiled up inside. Find a healthy release!
